A virtual friend of mine has started a non-profit organisation called The Charis Project to help orphans in Thailand. What I love about this project is that a couple of ordinary people cared enough to do something about people in need. Also, I know from experience how hard it is to raise money for projects like this. People often applaud your efforts, but that doesn’t always convert to real money. If charities could run on well wishes it would be a hang of a lot easier, but cash is what gets things done. So….I want to support their current appeal.
At the moment, there are about 40 kids being cared for, and they are in need of a truck. This is for getting the kids safely to and from school, to medical care when required, and to haul rice. It will cost around US$6000. If you can, please click here to read about this project. If you can please consider a donation. It doesn’t matter how much. Every little bit helps. If you want to, please spread the word by re-blogging, or posting a link to Facebook or twitter. (There are some giveaways too for any links or donations. Leave a comment at this post to enter.)
